About Imfinzi Injection:
Imfinzi Injection is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of unresectable, stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Imfinzi Injection is also used in combination with tremelimumab-actl and platinum-based chemotherapy for treatment of metastatic NSCLC, in combination with etoposide and either carboplatin or cisplatin for treating extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, in combination with gemcitabine and cisplatin in treating metastatic biliary tract cancer, and in combination with tremelimumab-act in treatment of unresectable hepatocellular cancer.
Uses of Imfinzi Injection:
Imfinzi Injection is used in the treatment of Non-small cell lung cancer, Hepatocellular carcinoma and Biliary tract cancer. The detailed uses of Imfinzi Injection are as follows:
- Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): Imfinzi Injection is used to treat NSCLC in patients whose tumors do not have EGFR or ALK mutations. It is often given after chemotherapy and radiation therapy to help prevent cancer progression.
- Small cell lung cancer (SCLC): Imfinzi Injection is used in combination with chemotherapy to treat extensive-stage SCLC, helping to improve survival and delay disease progression.
- Biliary tract cancer: Imfinzi Injection is used to treat cancers of the bile ducts and gallbladder, often in combination with other therapies, especially in advanced or unresectable cases.
- Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC): Imfinzi Injection is used to manage liver cancer, particularly when surgery is not an option. It may be combined with other agents like bevacizumab to enhance effectiveness.
- Endometrial cancer: Imfinzi Injection is used to treat advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer, especially in patients with mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR), by helping the immune system recognize and attack cancer cells.
- Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC): Imfinzi Injection is used in certain cases of bladder cancer to help reduce the risk of recurrence and improve long-term outcomes.
