Description
Soliris is a complement inhibitor used for:
- The treatment of patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) to reduce hemolysis.
- The treatment of patients with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) to inhibit complement-mediated thrombotic microangiopathy.
Warning & Precautions:
- Closely monitor patients with soliris drug for early signs and symptoms of meningococcal infection and assess patients promptly if an infection is suspected.Impose caution when administering eculizumab injection to patients with any systemic infection.
- Respective patients should be monitored following discontinuing eculizumab dosage for at least 8 weeks to detect hemolysis.
- The use of soliris injection should be interrupted in all patients experiencing severe infusion reactions and apt medical therapy administered.
